Built in 1905 by Ingersoll Rand for the Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. in Miami, Arizona, this antique wheel powered a 150 ton air compressor for the Arizona mining, sand, and gravel industry. The wheel weighs 60,000 pounds, has a shaft size of 16 inches in diameter and a bearing size of 8 inches, and was engineered and assembled by E.J. Cyr and staff. It is driven by a 3 HP electric motor with 2.2 RPM.
