Belle Ayr Mountain, also written Belleayre Mountain, is a summit in New York’s Catskill Mountains southwest of Pine Hill. Rising to 3,373 feet, it ranks among the higher peaks in that part of the range. Fleischmann Mountain stands to its west-northwest and Brush Ridge to its north, while Balsam Mountain and Haynes Mountain lie to the south. Belle Ayr is notable both for its place among the Catskill summits and for the recreational ski area of the same name on its north face, which has made the mountain an important center for outdoor recreation.
