Northwood Meadows State Park in Northwood, New Hampshire spans 674.5 acres of wooded land and extensive wetlands and serves as a year-round recreation area for walking, hiking, picnicking, fishing, non-motorized boating, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Its Burtt Wildlife Pond was formed by damming a brook, and a universally accessible graveled trail reaches the water. The pond, dam, and the park’s boulder-fringed roads are associated with M. Edward Burtt, who built them. Purchased by the state in 1990, the park adjoins the Forest Peters Wildlife Management Area.
