Sloan Museum of Discovery in the Flint Cultural Center is a nonprofit interactive museum in Flint, Michigan, named for General Motors executive Alfred P. Sloan. Affiliated with Longway Planetarium through the Flint Institute of Science and History, it brings together hands-on science, early childhood learning, local history, and automotive heritage. Its galleries include earth science exhibits, a child-sized mid-century town, and displays on Flint and Genesee County, including the auto industry and the World War II home front. The Durant Historic Vehicle Gallery showcases rare vehicles built in Genesee County, underscoring Flint’s longstanding importance in American car manufacturing. The original building opened in 1966, and an expanded museum opened in 2022.
