Built as a Methodist church in 1861, it served as the church sanctuary and Sunday school for fifty years. In 1896 it was moved from the southeast to the northeast corner of General’s Highway and Indian Landing roads, and in 1935 it was dedicated to Charles W. Baldwin, its pastor for 71 years. The Severn Crossroads Foundation moved it to its present site in 1981.
