Epiphany Episcopal Chapel and Church House is the only known World War I chapel in the United States. It was consecrated in 1918 to minister to the soldiers at Camp Meade and to serve as a permanent mission in the village of Odenton. Designed in the Arts and Crafts style by Riggin Buckler, it was used by all denominations as a church and guest house, with offices for five chaplains, a living and dining room, kitchen, and dormitory to house doughboys and visiting family members.
