Anclote Key Preserve State Park is a Florida state park and historic site on Anclote Key, about three miles offshore from Tarpon Springs on the Atlantic coastal plain. Accessible only by boat, it preserves a barrier island landscape distinct from the mainland. The park is known for its beaches and for a historic lighthouse built in 1887 at the southern end of the key. It also offers primitive camping, picnic pavilions, and activities including boating, fishing, hiking, birding, and wildlife viewing. Its coastal habitat supports notable birdlife, and nearby Three Rooker Island is an important Gulf Coast sanctuary for beach-nesting birds.
