Roughlock Falls Nature Area is a protected landscape in Spearfish Canyon in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota, within Black Hills National Forest. Near Little Spearfish Creek before it joins Spearfish Creek, the area is a scenic stop focused on the creek and falls within the canyon setting. Managed by the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks, it is a popular place for birdwatching, fishing, hiking, and snowmobiling. The surrounding forest and watercourse support varied wildlife, including elk, bald eagles, white-tailed and mule deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, beavers, coyotes, and mountain lions.
