Old Pilgrim Church is a replica of the oldest Protestant church in Texas. As Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church, it was constituted on July 28, 1855, in Crawford County, Ill. Under the guidance of Elder Daniel Parker, a "Moving Arm" of the established church, 11 members entered Texas in Jan., 1834. Its first building was erected in 1848. It became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1965.
