Those named include Thos. Lowe, Charles W. Robinson, Samuel K. Williams, Henry E. Houstater, Joshua B. Smith, David S. Porter, Benj. J Rose, Rand H. Titus, William W. Watson, Henry Wilcox, Charles S. Wright, George W. Williams, Albert Empy, John Root, Henry Harrington, Lester Atkins, William Ireland, Andrew Lapworth, Alexander Mahon, Jr., Lewis L. Miller, Andrew A. Miller, William Moore, and Edward P. Pierce, who died in battle, in action, of wounds, of fever, or in hospitals at places including Petersburg, Gaines Mills, Culpepper, Cedar Mountain, Maryland Heights, Newbern, Cold Harbor, Washington, D.C., Spottsylvania, New York City, White House, Hanover Court House, Baltimore, and the Wilderness.
