Faye Bourne Moore was honored with an Appalachian Dogwood in recognition of her visionary leadership. Born in 1942 and dying in 2019, she founded the GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club in 1973, received the Distinguished Volunteer Award presented by First Lady Nancy Reagan in 1981, and was named Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1985. Her life was remembered as “Living the Volunteer Spirit.”
