Beavertail Hill State Park is a 65-acre public recreation area on the Clark Fork River in western Montana, about 26 miles east of Missoula near Interstate 90. At an elevation of 3,615 feet, it offers river-based activities such as fishing, rafting, and swimming, along with picnic areas, campsites, a short interpretive trail, and tipi rentals on land. An amphitheatre presents interpretive programs on Friday evenings during the summer. With about 26 campsites for tents or RVs up to 26 feet long, the park combines convenient highway access, river frontage, overnight camping, and informal outdoor recreation in a relatively small setting.
