The Carriage House consisted of four sub-units. The main front portion housed carriages, harness, and tools, and horses could pull a carriage directly into the building. The horses were then unhitched and led through an interior door to the southern section, which functioned as the stables. To the east, a lean-to shed could also shelter horses and equipment. At the southeast corner was the Chicken Coop, and the roof line along the Carriage House still reveals where the Chicken Coop was attached to the Carriage House and stables.
