Liberty Hall was the home of Alexander Hamilton Stephens from 1845 to 1883. The property was deeded by executors to the Stephens Monumental Association on June 4, 1885, and to the State of Georgia on December 31, 1932. The building was dedicated on July 18, 1935. W.P.A. 1936 U.D.C.
