Hugh Wade Feed Store
History
4
Before regional cooperative stores and national chains, farmers from small towns across the country visited local feed stores to hear the latest news, talk with neighbors, and stock up on animal feed and equipment. Built in 2013, this feed store is modeled after two stores in rural Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and is named after long-time Discovery Park volunteer and employee Mr. Hugh Wade, who was responsible for procuring several of Discovery Park's opening-day artifacts.
