Air Classics Museum of Aviation is an aviation museum at Aurora Municipal Airport in Sugar Grove, Illinois, devoted to aircraft history in an active airport setting and including exhibits such as a display on women in aviation. Founded in 1990 by Rod Kath, Larry Matt, Irvin Lewandowski, Jack Rodgers, and Robert Knoll, it first opened at DuPage Airport in West Chicago with 17 aircraft and sought to build a 100,000-square-foot facility. Those plans collapsed after the deaths of Knoll, Lewandowski, and Rodgers reduced funding, and the museum was later required to leave. After restoring an F4F-3 for O'Hare International Airport, it relocated to Aurora, where it continues operating and hosting an annual open house.
