Constructed in 1865 to connect the mill towns of Jerusalem Mill and Franklinville, Jericho Covered Bridge is a timber burr arch through truss bridge, the last of its kind in Baltimore and Harford counties and one of the few surviving covered bridges in Maryland. Designed in 1804 by Theodore Burr, this type of bridge incorporates long arches with a triangular truss structure to stabilize heavy loads during crossing.
