Dudley Meeting House
Faith
A short distance to the east stood the Dudley Meeting House, erected on October 23, 1734. It measured 45 by 50, with the main door on the south side and entrances on the east and west. Its plain interior had boxed pens and benches on the first floor, a gallery around three sides, and a high pulpit with sounding board on the north side. It served as the home of the Congregational Society and the town until the new church was built in 1824.
