Believed to have been built by Lewis Wells, a descendant of one of Augusta's founding fathers, this home was owned during the Civil War by Thomas Myers, who also owned the Myers in downtown Augusta. During the Battle of Augusta, the house and adjacent property were used as a field hospital.
