The Korean War Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met, with the reminder that freedom is not free. American casualties in the war included 36,574 killed in action, 103,284 wounded in action, and 8,177 missing in action. All gave some; some gave all.
