Norwalk became the county seat in 1818, saw its first bank open in 1833, received first train service in 1853, became a city in 1881, and later added the Huron County Courthouse in 1913, the first motorized fire engine in 1912, Fisher Titus Hospital in 1957, and the 1908 birth of coach Paul Brown.
