The Sutter County Veterans Memorial honors veterans, living and dead, and declares that the community benefits from their sacrifices and must cherish those who gave their lives to ensure freedom. It calls on the community to remember the fallen, whose hopes and dreams live on through those who enjoy the freedom purchased with their blood, and dedicates the memorials to their memory. It also gives special thanks to major donors who helped make the memorial possible and lists the community’s honored dead from World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the War on Terror, together with their names and military service.
