Boistfort Peak, also known as Baw Faw Peak, is the highest mountain in Washington’s Willapa Hills and has long been important as a prominent landmark. Its summit has served practical uses over time because of its elevation and visibility. It was once the site of a fire lookout, reflecting its value for observing the surrounding landscape. Today the peak continues in that role as a working high point, carrying communication antennae, including the K7PG two-meter amateur radio repeater, and housing station BOW in the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
