The Warren Hickox House in Kankakee, Illinois, is a Prairie style residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1900 and stands beside the B. Harley Bradley House, creating a rare pair of early Wright commissions. Built for real estate and loan businessman Warren Hickox, it drew on Wright’s published house designs and reflects ideas he was developing at the time. Finished in white plaster with stained wood trim and an interior of plaster, Georgia pine, and oak, it remains largely intact despite some removed features. The house is regarded as a mature and especially significant example of Wright’s Prairie school work and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
