Lettuce Lake Park is a 240-acre regional county park just outside Tampa, Florida, along the Hillsborough River. Opened in 1982, it offers close access to several habitats in the river corridor, including freshwater wetland and floodplain, oak hardwood forest, cypress domes, and the river’s edge, through boardwalks, nature trails, and an observation tower. The park also provides recreation facilities such as picnic areas, barbecue pits, restrooms, a play field, and a playground. Its visitor center includes the Audubon Resource Center, where natural history exhibits, wildlife information, environmental education programs, and field trips support outdoor learning.
