Watertown, Tennessee honors all the men and women in its community who have served, and records Gold Star recipients and service members from World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The tribute includes Edmund Burke’s words, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing,” alongside the names of those from the community who served and those who died on dates ranging from October 8, 1918, to August 7, 2002.
