This building was similar to others on the site but was built later and was more complex. Its floor was cut into gypsum, and its roof was made of logs, branches, and mud. A hole in the north end of the room served as a storage bin for corn or other plant foods. It is believed to have been the home of a single family. The small doorway reflects the general size of the people who lived there, with men averaging 5'4" in height and women less than 5'. The small entrance also helped retain the room's heat and strengthened the overall structure.
