Twenty-two Schreiner Institute attendees remain unaccounted for as prisoners of war or missing in action from military service in the Army and Navy during World War II and the Vietnam War, with losses recorded in places including the New Hebrides, Solomon Islands, the Philippines, China Sea, North Vietnam, New Guinea, the Philippines Sea, Laos, the English Channel, Italy, China, Holland, Panama, Normandy, Austria, the Aleutian Islands, and Okinawa.
