Point Lookout Confederate Cemetery is the burial place of Confederate soldiers and sailors who died at Point Lookout, Md., while prisoners of war. Their dead numbered 3384, and although they were buried there, their remains were later removed either to their respective homes or to this cemetery, where the individual graves cannot now be identified.
