North Olmsted Veterans Plaza is dedicated to the courageous men and women who served the nation in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and it honors those who gave their lives in service. Its World War II Honor Roll remembers Curtis Black, Frank Dewey, Almo W. Dennerle, Arnold C. Dennis, Clarence Ebert, Robert W. Garthe, George P. Hansen, Fred Hornbacher, Donald E. Jennings, John Krynak, Norman P. Madsen, Peter Nemeth, Peter J. Predovic, William Reutener, John T. Trynoski, Paul E. Vinecourt, Richard H. Wopicka, Richard Keith Young, and Leo Koch as boys who made the supreme sacrifice. For the Vietnam War, 1957-1975, it names Thomas Edward Clark, Denis Michael Chmel, Gary Allan Farlow, Thomas George Graff, Kenton Elwood Hennings, Thomas James Meenan, Richard Joseph Zisko, and Donald R. Bruckner. It also recognizes post-Vietnam military and first responders who died in service or in the line of duty: Patrolman Ronald C. Milliken on November 27, 1981, Martin J. Supple, U.S.N., in action aboard U.S.S. Stark in the Persian Gulf on May 17, 1987, Thomas D. Bahas, U.S.M.C., on August 7, 1988, Aux. Policeman Aubrey R. Williams on November 7, 1988, 1st Lt Robert J. Kohan, U.S.M.C., on 6-3-73, and Staff Sgt William A. Stutz, U.S.A.F., on September 24, 1990.
