Dorr Felt's horses, donkeys, and other livestock stayed in this horse barn, the oldest building remaining on the Felt Estate. Because automobiles were already popular in the 1920s, the carriage house on the Felt Estate, located west of this barn, served as a garage for Dorr Felt's vehicles, not a place for horses and carriages. Dorr Felt's grandchildren took a buggy ride in September 1927. Built by inventor Dorr Felt in 1928, the Felt Mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places.
