Built in 1970 in just 14 hours, Bronson City Hall was made of reinforced fiberglass plastic and won the State of Michigan Product of the Year award presented by the Michigan State Chamber of Commerce. Bronson sold its old City Hall to make room for the new building, and Lynema Enterprise, a local concern, wanted to demonstrate how its plastic products could be used successfully in this way. The building measures 32 by 60 feet and is 12 feet high. Its wall and roof panels contain two inches of urethane insulation sandwiched as a core between the exterior and interior panel surfaces, and both wall and roof panels are white reinforced plastic. City Hall has 1920 square feet of floor space and contains city offices, a council meeting room, and a storage vault for city archives. Korbuly-Graf, a South Bend, Indiana, architectural firm that had designed the Senior Citizen's Housing Project, was hired for the project.
