The Southern Railway freight shed, built about 1952, stored freight after the depot was retired and torn down. It stands on the original A&Y Railroad railbed. A&Y tracks were laid in 1886, the depot was built and the first trains ran in 1887, the last passenger train came in 1939, the depot was torn down in 1952, the last train passed in the late 1970s, and the track was removed in 1981.
