THE STORY
Narrated · Plays hands-free in Travel Mode
The French gave the name L'Arbre Croche to the region from Cross Village to Harbor Springs because of a large crooked tree that stood on the crest of the bluff. Visible for many miles, it marked the center of a large Odawa Indian settlement.
