Shandaken Eagle
Arts & Culture
Dedicated on Shandaken Day, August 23rd, this sculpture originally stood high atop one of the towers of Grand Central Station in N.Y.C. at the turn of this century. Initially coated with white cement, the cast iron eagle was restored with a protective bronze surface at the Phoenicia Forge. The eagle was donated to the people of the Town of Shandaken by David and Gilbert Molane.
