Hundreds of stone structures, ranging from neatly stacked cubic assemblies to scattered piles of rock that appear to once have been neatly stacked, stand in various clusters, with some rising five to six feet tall. Their precise age has not been determined, but they are almost certainly associated with Native American cultures. Archeological investigations have uncovered no artifacts or human remains that would definitively assign the mounds to a specific time frame or culture, leaving their ritual or practical purpose uncertain, while still reflecting the considerable time and effort required to build them.
