In 1926, Nick Waters moved a budding casket business into this building, formerly D.H. Thomas Grocer. Yet only a few bodies were ever actually embalmed here, to the great relief of current residents. In the 1950's, Claude Gentry's Lyric Theater moved in with film noir classics for a few memorable years. Bryson's GE, White's and Bubba's all followed before the site became Clark Richey's Quail Ridge Engineering in 1999. National Register of Historic Places.
