Nature
Gardens of the World is a 4.5-acre botanical garden in downtown Thousand Oaks, California, established in 2001 and given to the city by local travel agency owners. Designed by landscape artist Wendy Harper, it organizes five themed areas along a looping path: a French Garden, an English Perennial and Rose Garden, an Italian Garden, a Japanese Garden, and a California Mission Courtyard. Features include formal parterres, fountains, rose plantings, a grape arbor, a koi pond, and murals of California missions. A replica American Victorian bandstand serves as an amphitheater, and the site functions as both a display garden and a civic green space.
