Illahee State Park is an eighty-two-acre marine park on Port Orchard Bay in Puget Sound, just north of East Bremerton, Washington. Named from Chinook Jargon for earth or land, it was established in 1934 after Kitsap County donated thirteen acres to the state. The park combines shoreline access with a forested interior and supports picnicking, camping, hiking, boating, and shellfish harvesting. Its most notable natural feature is an old-growth stand that includes a Pacific yew estimated to be about four hundred years old, among the oldest known in the country. The park is valued both for local recreation and for its ecologically important Puget Sound shore.
