Miami University honors its alumni who served in the five branches of the military and those who died or were lost serving in harm's way. The tribute presents two interwoven rising spirals representing liberty and justice, winding inward toward an illuminated U.S. flag. Its wall bears the Articles of Freedom, including the Constitution and Bill of Rights, along with military oaths and the Pledge of Allegiance, placing Miami's heroes symbolically at the foundation of U.S. freedoms. The site was made possible through the generosity of alumni and friends of the university.
