Castro Peak is a 2,826-foot mountain in California near Malibu, rising in the middle of the Santa Monica Mountains within the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It is the highest point in the central section of the range, giving it prominence within the surrounding landscape. The summit once held a fire lookout tower, showing its importance in observing the nearby mountains. That tower was later relocated to Henninger Flats in the San Gabriel Mountains, where it has been preserved for display.
