Winegardner Village, also called the Swinehart Village Site, is an archaeological site near Rushville, Ohio, on a two-part bluff above Little Rush Creek that offered a strong defensive setting. Archaeologists believe a Middle or Late Woodland community lived there. After years of use as pasture, plowing in the mid-20th century exposed artifacts, prompting a 1954 test excavation that found pottery, bones, and stone chips. Broken pottery and fire-burned stones indicate a fairly dense settlement, and the site is one of several Woodland period locations in the area. Its roughly 5-acre tract was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 for its value in understanding prehistoric settlement in this part of Ohio.
