Built in 1886 by volunteer labor and deeded to the Methodist Church, Creston Community Church was dedicated to The Lord on the third Sunday in May 1886. It was the second Protestant church in San Luis Obispo County and was served by circuit riding Methodist minister A.N. Fields. Its framework was made of native pine milled at Huer Huero, and the building has remained in constant use while holding a beloved place in the hearts of the community.
