Valhalla Canyon is a glacial canyon in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, within the Teton Range. Extending from the northwest flanks of Grand Teton and Mount Owen into Cascade Canyon, it was carved by glaciers that retreated around 15,000 years ago at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum. Those glaciers left behind the canyon’s broad U-shaped valley, a landform that reflects the powerful ice-driven processes that shaped this part of the park. The canyon stands as part of the larger glacial landscape that characterizes much of the Grand Teton region today.
