Simplot Square was built as a gathering place for the enjoyment of local citizens and visiting friends. Many individuals volunteered the vision, skills, and hard work needed to create the square. It stands as a symbol of a shared future made possible through a positive attitude and a cooperative spirit, through a Leadership Pocatello Project of the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pocatello, on land donated by the J.R. Simplot Family.
