Mine Bank Mountain is a 3,488-foot peak in Virginia in the Saint Mary's Wilderness near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Its name reflects nearby manganese and iron ore mines, linking the mountain to the region's earlier mining history. The mountain is accessible by the Mine Bank Trail, a 10-mile loop whose trailhead is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It also became the site of a 2023 plane crash in Virginia, when an aircraft struck about 300 feet below the summit, killing all four people aboard.
