Jeremiah Richardson (1795–1879), a pioneer settler in the town of Concord about 1816 near Mortons Corners, cleared much land and established farms that his son David and grandson Arthur later enlarged. David built a home and recreation hall on Woodside Road. It later became known as Woodside Dance Hall, a popular night spot for many years until it burned to the ground in 1958.
