Nothing since the attack on Pearl Harbor has had a greater impact on the nation and its people than the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Aggies responded to this crisis by volunteering to protect cherished freedom and defend people from terrorism wherever it threatens throughout the world. It honors those Aggies who made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against terrorism and expresses appreciation for Aggies throughout the world, both civilian and military, who have served and continue to serve the nation to provide freedom from terrorism.
