Black Pine Peak is a 9,386-foot mountain in southern Idaho’s Black Pine Mountains within Sawtooth National Forest. Rising about 1.3 miles south of the range’s high point, it stands in a notably remote and isolated setting. No roads or trails reach the summit, giving it the character of a seldom-visited backcountry peak rather than a developed overlook or recreation destination. Its significance lies in that rugged isolation and in its place within this little-visited part of the range.
