Chickasaw National Wildlife Refuge is a 25,006-acre protected area along the Mississippi River in West Tennessee, lying mostly in northwestern Lauderdale County with smaller sections in southern Dyer County. Established in 1985 on land formerly owned by Anderson Tully Inc. of Memphis, it preserves river-bottom forests and wetlands that support a wide variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, beaver, and waterfowl. The refuge remains an important expanse of protected habitat on the Mississippi flyway in western Tennessee.
